A Documentary Approach to Photography
While traditional studio photography often focuses on perfect poses, my approach is different. I photograph newborn and family sessions in a documentary style where it is baby or child led, lightly directed and centred around real interaction.
There’s no pressure for perfect behaviour and no heavy styling, just calm guidance and honest storytelling. Your gallery reflects the way this season truly feels.

Do you travel for photoshoots?
Yes, I am based in Derby but do travel all around the UK to photograph families, newborns and weddings. If you are not nearby but love the style of my natural and relaxed photography then get in touch!
Travel within 25 miles of Derby is included. Additional mileage is charged at cost (quoted individually).
What makes your photography style different?
My sessions are calm, connection led and natural. I don’t heavily pose or wrap babies into complicated positions.
Most images are captured in arms, cuddled in close just as you are because that’s what you’ll want to remember.
I gently direct for those more 'posed' looking photos, my aim is to make you feel as comfortable during our session and ultimately encourage you to have some fun with your people because that's when the best photos are captured.
Where do sessions take place?
I always encourage newborn sessions to take place in your home (where everyone feels most comfortable and your baby will have everything they might need).
Family sessions can be at home or outdoors around Derby and Derbyshire ~ I love light filled, neutral spaces and open countryside.
I work a lot out of a studio based in Beeston or Milford. Studios can be booked anywhere in the UK.
